The Alberta Black Therapists Network (ABTN) is made up by\\r\\na group of Black licensed and regulated professionals from various\\r\\ninterdisciplinary backgrounds working in the field of mental health and\\r\\naddictions. The network was formed out\\r\\nof need- in response to the health inequalities,in particular in mental health\\r\\nexperienced by black Canadians, the ABTN \\r\\nunderstands that it will take anti black racism,anti- oppressive and\\r\\nsystematic changes to improve the mental wellbeing for Black Canadians. We\\r\\nbelieve in the psychological well being of our community, and the society as a\\r\\nwhole. Through networking, continued training, and use of evidence-based\\r\\napproaches, and understanding racialized \\r\\ntrauma, anti- racist and\\r\\nculturally empowered lens, we strive to\\r\\nensure the highest quality of therapeutic \\r\\nservices are provided to our communities.
