A three-phase frequency inverter — also called a three-phase VFD or AC drive — controls the speed and torque of a three-phase AC motor by adjusting the frequency and voltage of its three-phase output. It takes three-phase AC input and outputs three-phase AC at variable frequency, enabling precise motor speed control from near-zero RPM to well above rated speed.
Three-phase VFDs are the standard choice for industrial and commercial applications where three-phase power is available: electric motors, pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors, CNC machinery, and HVAC systems. Compared to single-phase configurations, three-phase drives offer higher efficiency, lower input current per phase, and support for larger motor ratings.
Inverter.com stocks GK3000-series three-phase VFDs from 0.75kW to 220kW, including 480V input models for North American industrial installations. Some in-stock products can be shipped from Los Angeles, CA.
